My wife’s bluetooth, which is paired with her iPhone 4S, works perfectly fine for phone calls. When she tries to listen to a podcast through it, though, the podcast just plays through the phone’s speakers. It won’t broadcast via bluetooth even though the device is paired and active. After fumbling through various settings, forum posts and more, I finally learned that the limitation is with her bluetooth. Her Plantronics M100 doesn’t support A2DP streaming, which is required for listening to music and podcasts via bluetooth. The solution? Buy a new bluetooth. Wish there were a better way, but at least the mystery’s solved!
