PayPal will send you a “PayPal Instant Payment Notification Warning” email if your IPN URL is failing. To edit your PayPal IPN URL, follow these steps:
1) Login in to Paypal.
2) Click “Profile”:
3) Click “My Selling Tools”:
4) Click “Update” in the “Instant Payment Notifications” section:
5) Click “Edit settings”:
You can also disable IPN notifications from this screen. Here’s the text for a typical PayPal IPN failure notification email:

Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN). IPNs sent to the following URL(s) are failing:
If you do not recognize this URL, you may be using a service provider that is using IPN on your behalf. Please contact your service provider with the above information. If this problem continues, IPNs may be disabled for your account.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue.

NEVER give your password to anyone, including PayPal employees. Protect yourself against fraudulent websites by opening a new web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer or Firefox) and typing in the PayPal URL every time you log in to your account.
